This Thursday, Brooklyn Community Board 2 will be holding a public
hearing on the Downtown Brooklyn Development Plan. Call and ask to be put on the list to speak at this hearing. The Ratner plan is on their map, but they are not discussing it. Remember, the Ratner plan calls for the illegal seizure of 17 acres of private property by the state for private gain. This is illegal use of eminent domain. Speak out!
We are asking for a one-year moratorium on the plan. Beyond the serious eminent domain issue, there have been no transportation studies or pollution studies. These and other key impact studies have yet to be undertaken.
